How much does a new AC system cost installed?+

How do I know what size AC my home needs?+
A load calculation — not a guess from square footage alone. Insulation, window exposure, ceiling height, and duct condition all change the answer. Oversized systems short-cycle and leave Florida homes cold but humid; we size to the house.
Is there still a federal tax credit for new ACs?+
No — the federal 25C credit expired December 31, 2025, no matter what ads imply. What is still real: FPL/Duke/TECO utility rebates on qualifying equipment and special financing available. We will show you exactly what applies.
What refrigerant should a new system use in 2026?+
New systems ship with R-454B, the current standard. That is one more reason repairs on older R-410A systems deserve honest replacement math — R-410A gets more expensive every season.
